Kinetic Sound Installation | 2013 | Berlin
Project work with Andre Wakko and Yair Elazar Glotman for the Digitale Klasse at UdK Berlin.
Description:
Parabolic shapes resonate with frequencies, creating a network of sound that takes over the space, conversing and building on itself with sound, light and movement. Viewers are invited into the space, their bodies able to influence and interfere with the system’s dialog. The feedback of sound and light excites and agitates itself until ending in organic entropy.
>1000Hertz is a kinetic sound installation with 8 metallic parabolic objects creating a generative composition based on sound feedback. Each of the objects functions either as a speaker or a microphone and whenever the objects are facing each other, they start to generate feedback sound and resonate in their unique frequencies.
